Suspect at large in Wesson school break-in
Wesson police are looking for a suspect who broke into the Wesson Attendance Center sometime before employees arrived Wednesday morning.
Police Chief Chad O’Quinn said officers were called around 7 a.m. after workers at the school discovered a broken window in the cafeteria. Further inspection revealed a cash register had been opened and two cash drawers removed.
No money was taken, O’Quinn said.
“They literally made away with two empty cash drawers,” he said.
The Wesson school is wired with surveillance cameras and O’Quinn said police do have an image of the suspect, but has not identified the individual.
Anyone with information about a crime is asked to call Wesson Police at 601-643-2211 or CrimeStoppers at 601-823-0150. Tips leading to an arrest may be eligible for a cash reward up to $1,000.
