Funeral services for Elma Patricia Wood, of Baton Rouge, were Saturday, Feb. 18, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) with burial in Ephesus Baptist Church Cemetery in Jefferson County, Mississippi. Bro. Steve Wooten officiated.

Visitation was Saturday, Feb. 18, 2017, 1-2 p.m., at the funeral home.

Mrs. Wood, 72, died Thursday, Feb. 16, 2017, at Our Lady of the Lakes Medical Center, Baton Rouge, LA, with her loving family by her side. She was born Dec. 13, 1944, at the home of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Dillion, in Jefferson County, Mississippi, to Elmer and Myrtie Dillion Allred.

She graduated from Brookhaven High School in 1963. She graduated with a business degree from the University of Southern Mississippi, where she met and married her husband, Steve Wood. They were married June 5, 1965. She later owned and operated Country Bumpkin Antiques in Baton Rouge for many years.

Preceding her in death were her parents, and her step-father, Fred Ferguson.

Survivors are her sister, Shirley A. Stamps (owner/operator of Rainbow Florist for 60 years); her nephew, Warren Stamps; her niece, Sabrina Stamps; her great-nieces, Rebecca Mercier Jones and husband Jason, and Nicole McMillan; her great-nephew, Rob Mercier; her great great-nieces, Maddi Smith, and Hannah Jones.
