Funeral services for Jimmie Marie Ballard, of Brookhaven, will be Monday, March 20, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Service with burial at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be Monday, March 20, 2017, from 10 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.

Mrs. Ballard, 78, died March 17, 2017, at King’s Daughters Medical Center. She was born July 21, 1938, to Curtis Leroy Griffin and Versie McKinney in Meadville.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking. She was a member of Pearlhaven Baptist Church and especially loved children.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Brevard Proby Ballard Jr.; her parents; brother, David Griffin; father-in-law Brevard Proby “Mac” Ballard Sr. and mother-in-law Edna Byrd Ballard.

Survivors are her daughter, Lisa Ballard; brother, Lloyd Nolan Griffin and wife Charlotte; sister, Helen Moreton and husband Ed; and sisters-in-law, Liz Griffin and Flora Mae Ballard.
