Southwest Mississippi can expect severe thunderstorms that may bring damaging winds, hail and the possibility of tornadoes tonight, according to the National Weather Service in Jackson.

The area is under a “slight” risk for storms, mainly after 2 a.m. The worst of the severe weather will affects areas to the west.
