Just a handful of Entergy customer remained without power Friday afternoon. As of 4:30 p.m., only 36 remained without power following Thursday’s storm.

Strong straight-line winds sent several trees onto power lines early Thursday morning. Crews have been working since then to repair the damage.

Hwy. 51 between Natchez Avenue and Hwy. 84 was closed again for much of Friday for debris cleanup, according to MDOT. The section of highway was closed most of Thursday.
