Wesson Lady Cobras take care of Tylertown

The Wesson Lady Cobras hosted the Lady Chiefs from Tylertown Tuesday night and added another win with a final score of 12-0.
Wesson pitcher Amber Brinson started the game by striking out the side in the top of the first. Wesson packed on four runs with hits by Catherine Wilson, Harmoni Ashley, Brinson, Brooke Jones and Katie McSweyn.
The second inning continued with the Lady Chiefs getting on base, but Brooke Jones caught a line drive to left field to end the inning and kept Tylertown scoreless.
Wesson put eight runs on the scoreboard in the bottom of the second inning with big hits by Brinson, Ashley and Shelbi Maxwell. The third inning was a battle with both teams holding each other on the bases, but the game ended in the top of the fourth inning with Arie Douglas fielding the final out for Wesson
The winning pitcher for the game was Brinson who ended the game with eight strikeouts and one walk for Wesson.
Brinson was the top hitter with a double, single and three RBIs. Harmoni Ashley also stepped up in the game with two hits and one RBI for Wesson. Shelbi Maxwell and Brooke Jones each drove in two runs for Wesson. Anna Claire Crow had one RBI to round out the scorers for the Lady Cobras.
