Funeral services for Arzola Robinson, of Brookhaven, will be Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Center Street Church of Christ in Brookhaven, with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery.Williams Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be Monday, April 17, 2017, from 1 until 6 p.m.

Ms. Robinson, 96, died Thursday, April 13, 2017, at her son’s residence in Brookhaven. She was born Sept. 13, 1920, in Brookhaven, to Alton and Lula Brothern Robinson.

At the age of 96, Ms. Arzola was a very special person. She freely spoke her mind and gave good advice. She was a kindhearted woman. If anyone needed a place to live, her door was always open, never turning anyone down. She fully enjoyed her life.

Preceding her in death were her parents; son, John Louis Dickey; brothers, Johnny Robinson and William Robinson; sisters, Georgia Mae Hilson, Lena Mae Robinson and Louise Robinson Jones; and grandchild, Lisa Marie Robinson.

Survivors are sons, James (Ella Mae) Robinson of Brookhaven and Joe Lee Williams of Brookhaven; daughter, Joyce Redd of Brookhaven; brother, Willie B. Robinson of Massachusetts; sisters, Edna Hooks of Massachusetts and Betsy Watson of Brookhaven; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, and special friend C. W. Coleman.
