Area bass fishing is good

Below are the most current reports on fishing conditions of lakes in the area. Information is courtesy of The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks.
Lake Mary Crawford
Bass fishing is good. Black or junebug colored worms are the best lures right now. Target shallow and medium depths.
Bream fishing is good. One angler caught 42 on waxworms recently. Try redworms fished on the bottom for Redear Sunfish.
Crappie fishing is fair on minnows and jigs.
Catfishing is fair. Try cutbait, worms or commercial catfish bait on the bottom.
Lake Lincoln State Park
Bass fishing is good on spinnerbaits, flukes and soft plastic worms and lizards in shallow and medium depths.
Bream fishing is good. Some anglers are having success fishing at night. Crickets and worms are the best baits.
Crappie fishing is good. Anglers fishing at night are having good luck. Minnows and jigs are both working well.
No reports on catfish, but Lake Lincoln has some nice ones. Fishing around the island should produce some fish. Worms or cutbait fished on the bottom are the baits of choice.
Percy Quin State Park
Bass fishing is fair to good on soft plastics, flukes and spinnerbaits in shallow water in the grass, and also around the willow trees.
Bream fishing is fair. Try fishing in about four feet of water around the banks. Worms and crickets are working the best.
Crappie fishing is fair. Fisherman trolling in five to nine feet of water are having success with minnows and jigs.
The catfish bite has picked up and some good catfish are being caught. Fish on the bottom with your favorite catfish bait.
