2 Mississippi men sentenced for filing false tax returns

JACKSON (AP) — Two Gulfport, Mississippi men have been sentenced for preparing fraudulent tax returns.

Acting U.S. Attorney Harold Brittain says Allen Brice was sentenced to 63 months in prison for seven counts of aiding in the preparation of false tax returns. In addition, Jeremi Washington was sentenced to 46 months after pleading guilty to conspiring to defraud the United States.

Brice was ordered to pay restitution to the IRS in the amount of $1.91 million, while Washington was ordered to pay $1.95 million.
