Jim and Kristie Burt announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Cheyenne Burt of Brookhaven, to Steve Watts of Brookhaven.

He is the son of Steve and Pam Watts.

The bride-elect is granddaughter of Mickey and Marilyn Wilson, and Bill and Judy Burt.

Miss Burt is a 2013 graduate of Brookhaven Academy and a 2015 graduate of Copiah-Lincoln Community College.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Charles and Susie Cupit, and Johnny and Virgie Watts.

Mr. Watts is a 2008 graduate of Brookhaven Academy. He is self-employed at Ole Brook Timber. He has one daughter, Brooke Watts.

The couple will exchange vows Friday, May 26, 2017, at 7 p.m. at The White Magnolia in Kentwood, Louisiana. A reception will follow.

Family and friends are invited to attend.
