Funeral services for Robert Johnson Watts III, of Brookhaven, will be Wednesday, May 31, 2017, at 3 p.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Services.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until time of the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Watts died May 27, 2017, at his home. A native of Wiggins, he attended pharmacy school at the University of Mississippi before moving to Brookhaven in 1970, where he met his wife of 46 years, Rita. Known to his friends as “Billy Bob” or “Doc,” he opened Robert Watts Pharmacy in 1984, where his passion was personal attention to his customers. Watts was a member of First Baptist Church of Brookhaven, and served as a volunteer firefighter. He was a proud lifetime member of the Ole Miss Alumni Association, a charter member of the Galen Order of the School of Pharmacy at the University of Mississippi, and a member of the Sons of the American Revolution.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Robert J. “Bobby” Watts Jr. and Inez Watts, of Wiggins; parents-in-law Roy and Marjorie Gibson of McComb; and brother-in-law Fred Gill of Ludedale.

Survivors include his wife, Rita; son, Adam, and stepson, Trent; Sisters, Gayle Gill and Lynn Allegrezza; brothers-in-law Cecil Allegrezza and Dale Gibson; nephew Stan Gill; and nieces Julie Massey, Lisa Sorey and Whitney VanCleve and their spouses.

The family requests that those wishing to make a gift in Watts’ memory would consider donating to the Brookhaven Animal Rescue League or the Mississippi chapter of the Nature Conservancy in Watt’s memory in lieu of flowers.
