Funeral services for Stephen Patrick Sides, of Lafayette, Louisiana, formally of Brookhaven were held Wednesday, May 31, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Service in Brookhaven.

Mr. Sides, 35, died Thursday, May 25, 2017, in Lafayette, Louisiana. He was born March 10, 1982, in Little Rock, Arkansas to Harold Stephen Sides and Connie Sue Mitchell Sides. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and worked as a derrick hand in the oilfield. He also was a member of First Baptist Church of El Paso, in El Paso, Arkansas.

Preceding him in death is his wife, Jennifer Sides; brother, Denton Sides; maternal grandparents, Rita Oakley and Dan Mitchell; paternal grandmother, Charlotte Sides; and niece, Linda Blake Wallace.

Survivors are his parents; daughter, Star Sides; sons, Patrick, Mark and Brentley Sides; grandparents, Rev. Bill and Doretha Sides; sisters, Myranda Sides-Wheatley and husband Michael and Dallas Wallace and husband Cory; girlfriend, Catherine Amy and her two children, Jack and Lily; along with several uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and other cousins and family.
