Democrat Kenneth Collins — 1,942
Republican Jason Gaskin — 1,375
Ward 1 (Dorsey Cameron), Ward 2 (Shannon Moore) and Ward 4 (Jason Snider) were decided in the primaries. Ward 5 alderman Fletcher Grice did not have an opponent.
Of the 7,451 voters registered in Brookhaven, only 3,032 — or 41 percent — cast a ballot in the primary.
