Lincoln County Sheriff’s deputies looking for suspects in carjacking on Nola Road

Lincoln County Sheriff’s deputies are looking for four suspects who allegedly stole a woman’s car at gunpoint Saturday night.

Sheriff Steve Rushing said the woman told deputies she was traveling on Nola Road near Beeson Road shortly before 5:30 p.m. when a small gray car passed her and then stopped in front of her vehicle, a white 2014 Porsche Cayenne SUV.

The witness said four males exited their car, forced her and a passenger out of her car at gunpoint and then left with both vehicles.

Rushing said she ran to a nearby house and called 911.

The woman’s SUV has Louisiana license plates. The vehicle has been entered as stolen with the National Crime Information Center, Rushing said.

The suspects’ vehicle is a small grey car, possibly a Toyota, with a Mississippi license plate.

Rushing said his office is working on a few leads, but no other information is available at this time.

Anyone with information about a crime is asked to call Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office at 601-833-5251 or CrimeStoppers at 601-823-0150.

Tips leading to an arrest may be eligible for a cash reward up to $1,000.
