OXFORD (AP) — The Web.com Tour has added a new tournament in Oxford, Mississippi, that will begin in 2018.

The North Mississippi Classic will be played at the Country Club of Oxford from April 16-22 next year, with a field of 156 players and a purse of $550,000. The three-year deal, which was announced on Tuesday, puts the tournament in Oxford through 2020.

Mississippi will be one of only five states to host tournaments on the PGA Tour (Sanderson Farms Championship), PGA Tour Champions (Mississippi Gulf Resort Classic) and the Web.com Tour. The other four states are California, Florida, Georgia and North Carolina.
