Firefighters with Wesson Fire Department  put out a blaze on an 18-wheeler Tuesday about 4:15 a.m. at the 1-55 north exit ramp at Mt. Zion Road. The driver of the log truck, which was not loaded, tried to use his extinguisher to battle the fire, but it got out of control. Wesson was assisted by New Sight Volunteer Fire Department.
