Funeral services for John Randall Hudson, of Monticello, were held Monday, June 26, 2017, at 11 a.m. at New Zion Baptist Church with burial at the church cemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Service in Brookhaven was in charge of arrangements.

Visitation was held Sunday, June 25, 2017, at the church and continued Monday, June 26, 2017, from 10 a.m. until time of service at the church.

Mr. Hudson, 62, died Friday, June 23, 2017, at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. He was born Jan. 22, 1955, to John Royce Hudson and Willie Pauline Nash Hudson. He was retired from Bryan Foods and was minister of music at New Zion Baptist Church. He also was vice president of the Lawrence County Animal Rescue League.

Preceding him in death was his mother, Pauline “Polly” Nash Hudson.

Survivors are his wife, Belinda Gail Hudson; father and stepmother, Marion Aleta Hudson; son, Bradley Wayne Hudson; brothers, Danny Hudson, Tim Hudson, Matt Hudson and David Hudson; and sisters, Linda Maupin, Becky Hill, Shelia Kenfield and Mary Jackson.
