JACKSON (AP) — Police say a 31-year-old man is in critical condition at a Mississippi hospital after being shot multiple times.

Jackson police say Wesley Purvis was transported to a local hospital in a private vehicle Friday evening before being taken into surgery. Police say they responded to the hospital around 5 p.m.

Purvis is said to be in critical condition.

Investigators say there are no suspects identified or under arrest. Further information hasn’t been released.
