Girl, 7, shot in neck when gunman opens fire into car

JACKSON (AP) — Police say a 7-year-old girl has been shot in the neck by a gunman who fired shots into a car.
WLBT-TV reports that the shooting happened Monday night in Jackson, and the car stopped at a fast-food restaurant to get help.
Police say a 3-year-old child was also in the car, but was not injured.
The girl was hospitalized; information on her condition wasn’t immediately available.
