Stan and Sandy Winborne, of Brookhaven, announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Terah Elizabeth Winborne, to Jacob Langdon Shelby.

He is the son of Gus and Cheryl Shelby of Brookhaven.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James H. Lambert of Brookhaven, Doris Winborne of Brookhaven, and the late George E. Winborne.

Miss Winborne is a 2012 graduate of Brookhaven Academy and a 2016 summa cum laude graduate of Mississippi State University with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry. She is a student at the dental school of the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Bobby G. Huckaby of Bogue Chitto, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Mason Shelby of Jackson.

Mr. Shelby is a 2012 graduate of Brookhaven Academy and a 2016 magna cum laude graduate of Mississippi State University with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. He is employed with Engineering Service in Richland.

The couple will exchange vows on Saturday, July 29, 2017, at 6 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Brookhaven.

A reception will follow immediately at the Brookhaven Building, 1154 Beltline Drive. The couple’s friends and family are invited to attend.
