Funeral services for Joseph “Poodie” Edney, of McCall Creek, are Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 11 a.m. at East Roxie Church of God in Christ with burial at Edney Family Cemetery. Rev. Issac Tenner will officiate the services.

Viewing will be Saturday, July 29, 2017, at 10 a.m. until time of services at the church.

Mr. Edney, 30, died Friday, July 21, 2017, at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. He was born July 22, 1986, in Jackson to David and Lura Edney.

He is preceded in death by his father.

Survivors are his wife, Katherine; son, Riley; three brothers, David Jr., Elijah and Vincent; five sisters, Sara, Charity, Hope, April and Sheila Brown; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
