Suspect fleeing Brookhaven Police officers now faces additional charges
A Brookhaven man who fled from law enforcement officers Monday as they tried to serve an indictment was apprehended a short time later and now faces additional charges.
Benjamin Smith was arrested near Center Street and charged with possession of a stolen firearm, possession of three grams of crack cocaine and the original indictment, police records show.
Smith will have his initial arraignment in Brookhaven Municipal Court.
