Funeral services for Dorothy “Dot” Welch, of Bogue Chitto, are today, Aug. 2, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Service in Brookhaven with burial  at Heucks Retreat Cemetery. Bro. Bendon Ginn will  officiate the services.

Visitation will be today, Aug. 2, 2017,  from 10 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Welch, 88, died Sunday, July 30, 2017, at Country Brook Living Center in Brookhaven. She was born Nov. 2, 1929, to Ira Parsons Burt and Eunice Smith Burt. She enjoyed gardening, loved her church and church family, and listening to gospel music. She was a loving, caring lady who will be missed by all who knew her.

Preceding her in death was her parents; first husband, Elwin Haley; granddaughter, Crystal Reeves; and siblings, Virgil, Benton, Hollis Burt and Audrey Case.

Survivors are her beloved husband, Tom Welch; daughter, Debra Reeves; sister, Kathryn Nobles; grandson, Adam Reeves; stepgrandchildren, Michael Hutson and Barbara Beyl; and stepgreat-grandchildren, Jack Hutson, Palmer Hutson, Grayson Beyl, and Matthew Beyl.

Pallbearers will be Chuck Davis, Todd Davis, Alan Wallace, Ricky Welch, Mike Starette and Dale Reeves.
