Funeral services for Dorothy Emfinger, of Meadville, are today, Aug. 3, 2017, at 5 p.m. at Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville, with burial at Midway Cemetery in Meadville. Rev. Webb Armstrong will officiate the services.

Visitation will be today, Aug. 3, 2017, from 2 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Emfinger, 86, died Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2017, at Country Brook Living Center in Brookhaven with her loving family by her side. She was born Dec. 19, 1930, in Meadville, to Mr. Simon Jones and Ethel Lee Jones.

Mrs. Emfinger was a faithful member of Sarepta Baptist Church for many years where she was a prayer warrior for her family and friends. She was employed for 18 years at Movie Star garment factory in Bude. She was an avid collector of all types of salt and pepper shakers. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Simon Jones and Ethel Lee Jones; husband Rayford Emfinger; sisters, Madie Arnold, Marie McCall; and brothers, Webb Jones, Floyd Jones and Claude Jones.

Survivors are her sons, Douglas Emfinger and wife Jean of Ridgecrest, Louisiana, Don Emfinger of Meadville, Jerry Emfinger and wife Linda, of Meadville, and Randy Emfinger and wife Cheryl, of Brookhaven; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Glenn Emfinger, Kevin Kammerdeiner, Mark Reid, Craig Wallace, Daniel Calcote and Toby Landry.
