Funeral services for Daisy “Elaine” Wallace Allred, of Bogue Chitto, were held Monday Aug. 7, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Service in Brookhaven with burial at Arlington Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation was Sunday, Aug. 6, 2017, from 4:30 until 8 p.m. and continued Monday, Aug. 7, 2017, from noon until time of service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Allred, 68, died Friday, Aug. 4, 2017, at Southwest Regional Medical Center in McComb. She was born Oct. 11, 1948, to Bailey Arthur Wallace and Daisy Phillips Wallace. She loved to cook and was an avid reader. She absolutely loved spending time with her family.

Preceding her in death were her parents; brothers, Arthur “Pete” Wallace and Leonard Gene Wallace Sr.; sisters, Minnie Grace Albrecht, Susie Katie Ruth McCaffery, Georgia Franks and Reaber Wallace; and one son, Tony Evan Allred.

Survivors are her husband of 50 years, George E. Allred; son, Elwin Allred and wife Deborah; daughter, Rebecca Elaine Childers and husband Jamie; brother, Bryant Wallace and wife Deborah; sister, Betty Joe Murphree; eight grandchildren, Corey Allred and wife Tristan, Brandon Allred and wife Angel, Nicole Hannah and husband Jeremy, Meagan Childers, Caleb Allred and fiancé Ravyn, Camie Allred, Jacob Childers and Kacey Allred; five great-grandchildren, Trace Allred, Jaxson Hannah, Brystol Allred, Bexley Allred and Evan Allred; numerous nieces and nephews; and a very special friend, Mrs. Linda Bowen.
