A memorial service for Steven Paul Hostetler, of Batesville, formerly of Brookhaven, will be Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive). Bro. Tommy Snyder and Bro. Benji Pyeatt will officiate the service.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2017, from noon until time of service at the funeral home.

Mr. Hostetler, 53, died Sunday, Aug. 6, 2017, at his residence with his loving family by his side. He was born March 3, 1964, in Gonzales, Louisiana, to Jack Rupert Hostetler and Joy McRaney Hostetler. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Batesville. He was retired from the Alcoholic Beverage Control Agency as a senior agent. He was a loving husband, father, brother and son.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and father in law, Curtis Rushing.

Survivors are his wife, Rhonda Rushing Hostetler, of Batesville; daughter, Lily Grace Hostetler; brother, Gary Jordan and wife Laurie, of Scottsboro, Alabama; sister, Sandy Gryder and husband Tommy, of North Dakota; life-long friend Keith Dorman; and a host of family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Steven Paul Hostetler’s name may be made to: Presbyterian Day School Library or Music Dept., 944 Catalpa St., Clarksdale, MS 38614.
