Funeral services for Lucille M. Hendrix, of Amite, Louisiana, are today, Aug. 15, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) with burial at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Lawrence County.

Visitation was held Monday, Aug. 14, 2017, from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hendrix, 64, died Friday, Aug. 11, 2017, at her residence with her loving family by her side. She was born Jan. 5, 1953, in Brookhaven, to Jesse Mohon and Eva Mae Fuller Mohon. She was a member of Nola Baptist Church in Nola. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, cooking, fishing and gardening in her flower beds. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend.

Preceding her in death were her parents; and brothers, Larry Mohon and Robert Mohon.

Survivors are her significant other, John Mayfield; daughters, Ruby Cartwright and husband Kevin, of Brookhaven, and Debra Hendrix and Eva Hendrix, both of Amite, Louisiana; LaWanda Hendrix, of North Carolina; former husband, Jim E. Hendrix; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; four brothers; and a host of family and friends.
