GRENADA (AP) — Police say two men have been arrested after a 9-month-old boy was fatally shot inside a Mississippi home.
Grenada police said in a statement that Rashan Riley was shot in the head Tuesday afternoon. Police say it was “a result of someone shooting at another individual or individuals in the neighborhood.”
According to WTVA-TV, Rashan was struck by a stray bullet. The Clarion-Ledger reports it was an apparent drive-by shooting. Both report his body was sent to the state crime lab.
Police say no one inside the residence was involved in a confrontation with 20-year-old John Brown III or 18-year-old Shaquille Chamberlain. Each is charged with murder, and no bond has been set for either. Both are being held in the Grenada County Jail.
