CALEDONIA (AP) — A former high school band director accused of inappropriately touching students has been indicted.

Local news outlets report a Lowndes County grand jury returned on Monday three counts of touching a child for lustful purposes. Court documents say the incidents occurred between August and December 2016 and involved three victims.

The County Sheriff’s Department says David Chambers was employed at Caledonia High School at the time of the reported incidents and that he could face up to 15 years for each count if convicted.

WTVA-TV reports Chambers posted $40,000 bond set after his arrest. Chambers turned himself in to County investigators this spring and resigned from his job after the allegations were made. The probe began with a February complaint. Chambers’ trial is set for November.
