Funeral services for Larry Russell Lofton, of Brookhaven, are Saturday, Aug. 26, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) with burial at New Salem Church of Christ Cemetery in Brookhaven. Bro. Tim Broxton officiate the services.

Visitation will be Friday, Aug. 25, 2017, from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Lofton, 65, died Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2017, at his residence with his loving family by his side. He was born Feb. 15, 1952, to Russell Lofton and Raybelle Porter Lofton. He was self-employed at Lofton’s Body Shop. He married his wife Pat, July 22, 1994. They were married for 23 years and he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. His family will always carry his memory in their hearts and see to it that his stories live on forever.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Pat Lofton; son, James “Jay” Lofton and wife Kim; daughter, Tammy Dixon and husband Tommy; stepson, Scotty White and wife Brandy; brothers, Joe and John Paul Lofton; sister, Sandra Sharp; grandchildren, Kayla, Cam, Zayne, and Zaya Lofton, Lauren and Megan Norton, Caden and Dawson White, Bradyn Brister, and Jessica Dixon; great-grandchildren, James “J. T.” Tarver and Joshua Eli Tarver; and a host of family and friends.
