BILOXI (AP) — Police say a woman took an acquaintance’s car without permission and ran up about $10,000 on a credit card she found in the vehicle.

Biloxi police Lt. Christopher De Back tells The Sun Herald that the card was used at several stores in Biloxi. De Back says surveillance video at a Walmart helped police identify 32-year-old Stephanie Marie Bridges of Gulfport.

Police arrested Bridges Saturday. She faces charges of embezzlement by trust and credit card fraud. De Back said the embezzlement charge was a result of taking an acquaintance’s car and not giving it back.

Bridges was booked into the Harrison County jail with bonds totaling $20,000. Jail records show she was released Saturday night.
