Storm leaves several homes without power

Lincoln County Emergency Management Director Clifford Galey was watching a weather system that had the potential to become a tornado Wednesday night.

“It started about 9:15 on the Lincoln/Lawrence line around east Lincoln, moved north into Copiah and Simpson then dissipated,” he said.

Galey said he has not had any reports of damage from the storm.

However, several residences in Lincoln County were without power Wednesday night.

Magnolia Electric Power has one outrage which started about 8:30 p.m. As of 10 p.m. no power had been restored to the 93 customers affected.

Southwest Electric’s online outage map showed 183 of it’s 3,764 customers in Lincoln County were without power at 10 p.m.

Entergy’s map did not show anyone in Lincoln County without power.
