Below are the most current reports on fishing conditions of lakes in the area. Information is courtesy of the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks.
Lake Mary Crawford is still closed for renovations.
Lake Lincoln State Park
Bass are schooling. Both rattling crankbaits and soft plastics are working well. Also, try top water lures early in the morning or late in the evening, and soft plastics in shallow and medium depths.
Bream fishing is fair. Crickets and worms are the best baits.
Crappie fishing is slow. Try power trolling at 0.9-1.4 mph with minner critters, crankbaits and minnows.
No current reports on catfish. Fishing around the island should produce some fish. Worms or cutbait fished on the bottom are the best baits of choice.
Percy Quin State Park
No recent reports on bass, but they have been biting well. Rattletraps, crankbaits and plastic worms are all working well.
Bream fishing is fair on crickets, redworms and nightcrawlers.
Some decent crappie are still being caught in the willows on jigs and minnows.
The catfish bite is good.
