Funeral services for Philip Eugene Smith Sr., of Brookhaven, are today, Sept. 21, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Service in Brookhaven with burial at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be today, Sept. 21, 2017, from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home and will continue Friday, Sept. 22, 2017, from 9 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.

Mr. Smith, 68, died Friday, Sept. 15, 2017. He was born Dec. 24, 1948, to Herman and Marjorie Smith of Brookhaven. He was a sergeant in the United States Air Force, having volunteered and serving two tours in Vietnam. He was the vice president of Sunbelt-Dubai, UAE. In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing, baking, cooking, carpentry, reading and genealogical research. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend that will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and daughter, Emily Catherine Smith Dilisio.

Survivors are his wife, Erminda F. Smith; sons, Philip E. Smith Jr., Sean P. Smith, Tommy H. Smith, Ariel Chona, June Flores; daughters, Jennifer Heffner and Chona Magadia; brothers, Melvin and Terry Smith; as well as 13 grandchildren and 1 great- grandchild.
