Funeral services for Robert Edgar Leon, of Summit, are Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Hartman-Jones Funeral Home in Mccomb with burial at Johnston Chapel cemetery. Rev. Joe Lawson will officiate the service.

Visitation will be today, Sept. 26, 2017, from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home and will continue Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2017, from 9 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.

Mr. Leon, 64, died Thursday, Sept. 21, 2017, at his residence.  He was born June 30, 1953, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Carol Leon and Maxine Bigner Stoddard.  He was a member of Johnston Chapel United Methodist Church. He was described by his family as having a wonderful sense of humor.  He loved his family, especially his children and grandchildren.  He also loved to cook and his dogs.

He is preceded in death by his father; grandparents, Robert and Blanche Bigner; and a sister, Sarah Leon.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather; Maxine and Connie Stoddard, of Summit; son and daughter-in-law, Mitchell and Deanna Leon, of Smithdale;  daughter and son-in-law, Clarissa and Chris Travis, of Sontag; brother and sister-in-law, Andy and Holly Stoddard, of Canton; four grandchildren, Kross Leon, Ryder Leon, Amerie Travis and Amelia Travis; and numerous other loving relatives and friends.
