Keith Smith and Vickie Lea announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter Cassie Smith of Hattiesburg to Brian Dixon of Columbia.

He is the son of Gail McRaney.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late David and Beatrice Allen, and the late Calvin and Charlene Smith.

Miss Smith is a 2002 graduate of Brookhaven High School and a 2006 graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Sheila Prine.

Mr. Dixon is a 1999 graduate of Columbia High School. He is employed as a lead operator with Woodgroup.

The couple will exchange vows on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2017, at Southern Oaks Venue in Sandy Hook.
