Funeral services for Flora Mae Ballard, of Meadville are, today, Oct. 6, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Service in Brookhaven with burial at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be today, Oct. 6, 2017, from 10 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.

Ms. Ballard, 78, died Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2017. She was born Jan. 19, 1939. She worked as a clerk at Franklin County Health Department, secretary for Dr. Shelby W. Mitchell, of the Mississippi State Board of Health, and was District clerical supervisor for the Mississippi State Board of Health. She was also a Sunday School teacher at First Baptist Church in Bude, where she was a member.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Brevard Proby Ballard Sr. and Edna Mae Byrd; brother, Brevard Proby Ballard Jr.; and sister-in-law, Jimmie Marie Griffin Ballard.

Survivors are her niece, Lisa Ballard; and special friends, Philip and Evelyn Godbold.
