Lady Bobcats fall, Lady Cougars advance in softball
The Lady Bobcats of Bogue Chitto faced off against the Lady Bobcats of Sebastopol Saturday in the Class 1 bracket of the Mississippi High School Activities Association softball playoffs. Each team took a win in the first two games.
Game three was rained out during the bottom of the seventh inning with teams tied 1-1. Play resumed Monday evening.
Bogue Chitto was unable to get any more runs across home plate, but Sebastopol added two runs to win in the eighth inning 3-1 and advance to the next round.
BC coach Scott Leggett knew the winner would be whoever hit best, but was hoping to repeat last year’s two-win victory over the other Lady Bobcats.
