Walt Grayson, host of MPB’s “Mississippi Roads,” plans to bring a little mystery to Brookhaven Saturday.

With Halloween just around the corner, what better time to speak about mysteries associated with the Magnolia State? Grayson, a television host and author, will present “Mississippi Mysteries” at the Mary Jane Lampton Auditorium on the campus of Mississippi School of the Arts.

“He’s going to do a presentation and tell stories about true mysteries that have happened in Mississippi,” said Ariel Hawley with SWAT Ministries.

Tickets are $15 and all of the proceeds will benefit SWAT — Spiritual Warriors Against Trafficking — which is a non-profit organization that fights human trafficking.

“We’re going to have a coffee bar and pastries,” said Hawley. “It’s going to be fun night and it will set the mood for Halloween in a couple of weeks.”

Hawley and her husband both work with SWAT Ministries.

She said that most of the proceeds Saturday will go towards building a long-term rescue home in Thailand, where the ministry is based.

SWAT fights human trafficking through awareness, intervention and aftercare training.

“We’re looking forward to talking to people about our ministry and showing them what we actually do,” said Hawley. “I’m also looking forward to hearing Walt Grayson speak, because I’m a history buff and I’m looking forward to hearing his stories.”

Tickets are available online at swatministryintl.org/events or at Hunsucker Insurance located on Union Church Road in Brookhaven.
