Brian Herring and Lucye Bolin Moore announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Whitney Lynn Herring of Brookhaven, to Freddie Alexander Nevels of Brookhaven.

He is the son of Richard Nevels and Alberta Arriaga.

The bride-elect is granddaughter of the late Jane Reeves Bolin, the late Bernard and Floye McClelland, and Ruth Herring of Houma, Louisiana.

Miss Herring is a 2014 graduate of Enterprise Attendance Center and a 2016 graduate of Copiah-Lincoln Community College with a degree in business technology. She is employed as a secretary at Chemstar Products.

Mr. Nevels is a 2011 graduate of West Lincoln Attendance Center and a 2016 graduate of Copiah-Lincoln Community College with a degree in automation and control. He is employed as an instrumentation and controls technician at Entergy.

The couple will exchange vows on Saturday, Oct. 21, 2017, at 5:30 p.m. at The Hideaway at Reed’s Estate. A reception and dancing will follow.

Friends and family are invited to attend the wedding and reception.
