Phillip and Lea Ann Knight announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Whitney Knight of Wesson, to Timothy Rorie of Rienzi.

He is the son of Wade and Cindy Rorie.

The bride-elect is granddaughter of the late Herman and Gwen Cavin of Wesson, Nona Knight and the late George Knight of Hurley.

Miss Knight is a 2010 graduate of Wesson High School, and a 2014 and 2015 graduate of Mississippi State University with a bachelor’s degree in English education and a master’s degree in English. She teaches English Language Learners at Southaven Elementary School.

The prospective groom is the grandson of the late James and Elizabeth Rorie of Rienzi.

Mr. Rorie is a 2008 graduate of Biggersville High School, and a 2012 and 2013 graduate of Mississippi State University with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a master’s degree in business administration. He is employed as a supply chain specialist at International Paper in Memphis.

The couple will exchange vows on Thursday, Dec. 21, 2017, in Crystal River, Florida. After a honeymoon trip in south Florida, the couple will reside in Southaven.
