Transportation Commissioner Tom King, Rep. Sam C. Mims and other local officials will be on hand at New Heights Baptist Church, 1015 Gordon Covington Rd. in Summit, on Thursday at 10 a.m. to designate a segment of U.S. Hwy. 98 in Pike County as “Casey Lynne Casanova Memorial Highway,” as stated in House Bill No. 1088 of the 2017 Mississippi Regular Legislative Session.
“This memorial will remind all who travel this section of U.S. Hwy. 98 in Pike County of the sacrifices Casey Lynne Casanova made for her country,” said King. “It’s an honor to dedicate this section of highway in her memory.”
