Funeral services for Laura Helen M. Massey, of Bogue Chitto, are Thursday, Oct. 26, 2017, at 1 p.m. at Hartman-Jones Funeral Home in McComb with burial at Hollywood Cemetery. Rev. Larry Russell will officiate the service.    

Visitation will be today, Oct. 25, 2017, from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home and will continue Thursday, Oct. 26, 2017, from noon until time of service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Massey, 82, died Monday, Oct. 23, 2017, at her residence. She was born March 28, 1935, in Amite County to the late William Jeff and Mary Marie Tarver Matthews. She was a member of Montgomery Baptist Church and a homemaker. She was a wonderful and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed going to the McComb Opry House. She never met a stranger and was sweet, kind and treated everyone fairly. She will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Ray Massey; brother, J.W. Matthews; and daughter-in-law, Jennifer Massey.

Survivors are her son, Michael Ray Massey, of Bogue Chitto; sister, Frances Lamone, of Ft. Meyers, Florida; two grandsons, Blayze Massey and Chance Moak, of Bogue Chitto; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers will be Joey Felder, John Felder, Jerry Souther, Casey Turk, Jordan Pocorobba and Chance Moak.
