Funeral services for Maxine Pickett, of Wesson, are Saturday, Nov. 4, 2017, at noon at Beauregard United Methodist Church in Wesson with burial at Beauregard Cemetery. Bro. Michael Assink will officiate the services. Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be Saturday, Nov. 4, 2017, from 10 a.m. until time of the service at the church.

Mrs. Pickett, 89, died Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2017, at Silver Cross Nursing Home in Brookhaven with her loving family by her side. She was born June 8, 1928, to Walter E. Howington and Jessie Lowery Howington. She enjoyed playing golf, sports of all kinds and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. She coached girls softball and enjoyed playing basketball in high school. She was a member of Decell Memorial Methodist Church in Wesson.She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Mack G. Pickett; grandson, Russ Pickett; and brother, Buddy Pickett.

Survivors are her; sons, Eddie Pickett and wife Tina of Brookhaven, MS and Tracy Pickett of Wesson, MS; grandchildren, Trish Smith, Allyson McDonnieal and husband Grant, Chase Pickett and wife Anna, and Blake Pickett; great grandson, Gunner Smith; sister Donis Foster; and a host of family and friends.
