Veterans Day is a U.S. public holiday observed annually on Nov. 11 that honors military veterans who served in the United States Armed Forces.

The following area offices have announced their schedules for the Veterans Day holiday:

• Brookhaven-Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce will close Friday.

• Waste Pro will run its regular route.

• The U.S. Post Office will be closed Saturday.

• The Mississippi Highway Patrol Drivers License exam office will be closed Friday.

• Brookhaven city offices will be closed Friday.

• Lincoln and Copiah county offices will be closed Friday.
