Brookhaven Fire Department responds to three fires over the weekend, none with injuries; area reports

Fire reports

The Brookhaven Fire Department responded to a car fire at 11:58 a.m. Thursday on Monticello Street. They responded to a clothes dryer fire at 3:37 p.m. Friday at North Haven Apartments. No injuries were reported. They also responded to a trailer fire at 3:45 a.m. Sunday on Smith Lake Road. No injuries were reported at either call.

The Monticello Police Department reported no activity Thursday through Sunday.

The Monticello Fire Department responded to an accident involving two motor vehicles at 5:28 p.m. Friday on Broad Street. They responded to a medical call at 5:57 p.m. Friday at the Wesson High School football field. They responded to a medical call at 6:20 a.m. Saturday on 583 Jefferson Street. They responded to a medical call at 9:39 p.m. Sunday at 1000 Broadmeadow Drive. They also responded to a tree fire at 11:45 p.m. Sunday on Hwy. 27. No injuries were reported at any of the calls.

The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department reported no activity Thursday through Sunday.

Copiah County reports

The Wesson Police Department reported no activity Thursday through Sunday.

The Copiah County Sheriff’s Department reported no activity Thursday through Sunday.

The Wesson Volunteer Fire Department reported no activity Thursday through Sunday.

Highway Patrol report

Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop M responded to an accident involving two vehicles at 5:17 p.m. Saturday on Hwy. 84. They responded to a single vehicle accident without injuries at 7:24 a.m. Saturday on Hwy. 583. They also responded to an accident involving two vehicles at 6:58 p.m. Saturday on I–55 near mile marker 27. No Injuries were reported at either call.

KDMC Ambulance report

King’s Daughters Medical Center Ambulance Service reported 55 calls Thursday through Sunday. Thirteen were transfers, with eight to Jackson, one to New Orleans, one to Hattiesburg, two in the city and one in the county. There were 42 emergency calls; 31 medical, with 24 in the city and seven in the county; four traumas, with two in the city and two in the county; seven MVAs, with six in the city and one in the county.
