Memorial services for Joy Smith Jordan, of Brookhaven, are Sunday, Nov. 19, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Episcopal Church of the Redeemer in Brookhaven with burial at the columbarium at Episcopal Church of the Redeemer. Riverwood Family Funeral Service in Brookhaven is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be Sunday, Nov. 19, 2017, from 1 p.m. until time of service at the church.

Mrs. Jordan, 73, died Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2017, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. She was born April 28, 1944, in Brookhaven to W.V. “Dub” Smith and Mavis Richardson Smith. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, former president and current board member of Angel’s Attic Thrift Store. She loved cooking for friends and family, gardening and spending time with her Maltese, Lola.

Preceding her in death were her parents; Brother, William R. “Dickie” Smith.

Survivors are her son, Joshua Allen Jordan and wife Carly; sister, Jan Smith and husband Tommy; two grandchildren, Navy Elizabeth Jordan and Hayes Allen Jordan; two nieces, Amy Edwards and husband James, and Lauren Smith; two nephews, Daniel Smith and wife Paige, and Derrick Smith; and a host of extended family and special friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in honor of Mrs. Joy to Episcopal Church of the Redeemer Angel’s Attic.
