Funeral services for Annell Arnold Johnson, of Smithdale, are Thursday, Dec. 7, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Hartman-Jones Funeral Home in McComb with burial at Ebenezer United Methodist Church cemetery in McCall Creek. Elders Mickey Myers and Ricky Myers will officiate.

Visitation will be Thursday, Dec. 7, 2017, from 9 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Johnson, 90, died Sunday, Dec. 3, 2017, at the Silver Cross Convalescent Center in Brookhaven. She was born March 12, 1927, in the Independence Community in McCall Creek, to the late, William Hunt and Annie Laird Pickett.

She was a homemaker, school bus driver and a member of the Antioch Primitive Baptist Church, of Brookhaven. She loved her children, grandchildren and working in her garden and yard. She will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lenox Arnold; second husband, Richard Johnson; and daughter, Carolyn Virginia Arnold.

Survivors are her son, Larry Arnold (Judy); daughter, Joyce Calcote (Chris); grandchildren, Stacy Arnold (Jen), Pierce Arnold (Hilda), Brent Calcote (Brandy), Angeline Ratcliff (Rob) and Brad Calcote (Emily); great-grandchildren, Josh Arnold (Whitney), Kayla Arnold, Logan Arnold, Larry Ray Arnold, Dawson Calcote and Travis Calcote; great-great-grandchild, Noah Arnold; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Pierce Arnold, Stacy Arnold, Brent Calcote, Brad Calcote, Josh Arnold and Bruce Pickette.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Antioch Primitive Baptist Church of Brookhaven or Ebenezer U.M.C cemetery fund of McCall Creek.
