Police investigate double shooting in Bay St. Louis

BAY ST. LOUIS (AP) — Police in Mississippi are investigating after officers responding to a reported shooting found two people suffering from gunshot wounds and a third struck by a vehicle.

Local news outlets report that police in Bay St. Louis responded to the call around 3 p.m. Sunday. They found a crashed van in the front yard of a home. Police Chief Gary Ponthieux two people inside the van had been shot. Officers also found a third person who had been hit by a vehicle.

Police say all three people were taken to hospitals.
