Funeral services for Ida Mae Lofton, of Brookhaven, are Thursday, Dec. 21, 2017, at 1 p.m. at Fair River Baptist Church with burial at the church cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday, Dec. 21, 2017, from 11 a.m. until time of service at the church.

Mrs. Lofton, 99, died Monday, Dec. 18, 2017. She was born March 10, 1918. She loved her Lord and her family and her church. She was an accomplished seamstress and talented hand worker and was the oldest living member of Fair River Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Edward Earl Lofton; parents, James Victor Dyess Sr. and wife Cathern Bell Watson Dyess; brother, James Victor Dyess Jr. and wife Tonie Dyess; sister Florence Dyess Mullen and husband Grady Mullen; and brother-in-law, C.L. Day.

Survivors are her son, Larry Ford Lofton and wife Alma Johnson Lofton; daughter, Imogene Lofton Crowley and husband Richard; sister, Catherine Dyess Day; five grandchildren, Scott Norton and wife Stefanie, Amy Norton Hickman and Philip Hickman, Ford Lofton and wife Stacy, Stacy Lofton Tanner and husband Bevan, and Michael Crowley; nine great-grandchildren, Leyton, Keegan, and Kellan Lofton, Abbey Hickman, Samuel Hickman, Zachary Norton, Hayden and Hollyn Tanner, Caine Crowley; and great-great-grandson, Wyatt Williams.
